Hello! Welcome to Restaurant Maidenhead.

Yes I understand that is an odd name for a website, but there is a reason for choosing this particular combination of words.

You see, when someone in Maidenhead is looking for a restaurant, be it anything from Curry to Italian, or similar restaurants, there is a pretty good chance that you will log on to your computer and type in: restaurant Maidenhead, or maybe Maidenhead restaurants, in order to see what is available to you.

And, I wanted you to find my website because unlike other sites that may appear, I do not own my own busy restaurant or eatery.

I’m actually an impartial resident of the area, who was once in a similar position in looking for somewhere to eat, with a good menu, not really having access to restaurant reviews and I had a ‘not so good’ experience looking for and trying to book a restaurant; and so I decided to make this website to help you out.

I found that I was let down by a particular restaurant, in fact it was in relation to using gift certificates, and they were indeed a busy restaurant. But I’m not going to bash any specific local restaurants but I might make a couple of recommendations for maybe two very good restaurants, that are reliable and that are ideally part of the British Hospitality Association or even National Restaurant Association, if the restaurant is an international company.

Also, I want to try to educate the restaurants customer on how to best go about booking a restaurant in Maidenhead, not purely based on restaurant menus alone, but using vouchers or gift certificates and to give you enough knowledge to confidently know that you will not be let down by the restaurant owner, and that you can make an informed decision, not just based on menu, but on a whole lot of other things.

So, if you like to eat out, or like to try different types of cuisine, and find that you are often looking for a place where you can get good restaurant reviews, this may be the site for you.
Before I got started in my quest to find a decent restaurant in Maidenhead, (one which combines good quality food, nice atmosphere and that would take my booking and honour the vouchers that I wanted to redeem), I didn’t realise that there would be a world of difference between how two separate eating establishments would behave.

But don’t worry; I will cover all of this in Restaurant Maidenhead. We will look at how to best decide where you want to eat, and discuss the best and most apt places for your night out. I will show you when to book to ensure you are getting the table you want.

In addition I will look at how and when to use any discount or special menu deals you have, and indeed how to do it discretely. Sometimes I know that it can be embarrassing when you want to use restaurant coupons, but we live it tough times, why not take advantage?

I have found that most places accept the vouchers discretely, but in some cases there are rules and regulations. Often you have to confirm at your booking (normally on the phone) that you wish to use a discount voucher or a special offer. Other places you need to present the voucher before you order from the menu. Sometimes you need a printed voucher, other times a scan from your phone is good enough. But it is always wise to confirm at the point of booking.

This site will chronicle all the experiences I come across that will help you decide where to eat, and the best places to visit. As this site, restaurant Maidenhead grows, you will be able to decide the best solutions by reviewing the content and ideally looking at the recommendations that I come up with.

This site isn’t all about gift certificates, but about choosing  the best restaurant for you, we could cover restraurant booking service, both by phone and internet telephone booking, but most of all considering you, your friends and family primarily as the restaurants customers.

I want to be able to allow you to make an informed decision, based upon my and other’s experiences.

Finding a restaurant in Maidenhead probably means different things to different people.. If you perhaps want to impress that special person for a first date maybe?

I asked Expert Ezine Author Jennifer Rollins who specialises in providing advice to would be ‘daters’ to give us her take on this..

Food does not just provide nourishment for our bodies. On a date, food becomes a celebration. Food makes a first impression and acts as an ice breaker when all else fails. When you are out on a first date and you want it to go well, you need choose a restaurant with care and pay attention to detail. Choose wrong and you could wreck what may have been the beginning of something terrific. Choose correctly, on the other hand, and it will get you into the second date territory.

As this is a first date, do your homework concerning your new girlfriend’s preferences. Don’t take her to your favorite steak house only to discover that your date is a serious vegan. Find out from her friends or family. Ask them about her favorite meals. You will come off looking like a caring and interested person and start the relationship on a firm footing.

Don’t try to impress her with five star restaurants. You don’t want to look like you’re trying too hard. Also, you don’t want her to expect to eat at those places all the time. Save the really nice restaurants for birthdays and other special occasions later in the relationship. Also avoid the other extreme. Don’t try getting away with fast food either. This might work if you’re in high school, but if you want a second date, choose a mid-priced, sit down restaurant with a menu that offers variety. A longer menu will give you something to talk about.

Now that you’ve chosen a good restaurant for your date, choose to dress appropriately and to use good manners. You aren’t going to make a very good impression on a date if you have just walked up to the door of a nice, French restaurant in raggedy jeans and untied sneakers. Looking like a slob is not an aphrodisiac. Arrive nicely dressed. Hold the door open for her. Good manners never go out of style.

Once you’re at the table, decide who will order. Will you will order for both of you, or if she would rather talk to the server directly? Some women think it is proper when the man orders, but others find it offensive, so ask first. Pay attention to what she does. This will give you cues to your own behavior. If she doesn’t even look at the wine menu, think twice before ordering. If someone she knows was killed by a drunk driver, your glass of wine may just cost you big time.

Always offer her dessert. If she refuses, but she does so rather reluctantly, offer to split something with her. (Choose something chocolate, trust me).

Don’t make a big deal about paying the check. If she wants to split it, don’t ruin a nice evening by starting an argument. Be diplomatic and suggest that she pay the tip. Or try this, suggest that she pay for the meal on your next date. That way you’ll avoid potential hurt feelings and ask for a second date at the same time. Now you’re thinking ahead.

This article is about making an impression by choosing the right restaurant. You might not even get that far if you didn’t make a good impression when you first met. Go back and read Create a Good First Impression and you’ll increase you chances of landing the date in the first place.

Choosing the right restaurant for a first date does not mean choosing the most expensive. The right restaurant will create the right impression and set the tone for an ongoing relationship. Before you get to that point, you have to make a good first impression and you can learn more about how to do that by reading the first article in this series, Create a Good First Impression.

In this part of restaurant Maidenhead website, we are going to take a bit more of an in depth look at the actual providers of vouchers, for those busy restaurants.

Restaurant Voucher SiteIt wasn’t too long ago that we used to go to a nice restaurant with a screwed up voucher and secretly dread asking to use it. Sometimes, you would be more comfortable asking for the leftovers from the kitchen!

How times have changed. Millions of Brits are using printable vouchers and more and more are starting to use online alternatives. In fact over 10 million of us are using online coupons and vouchers a recent survey claimed. Probably the most famous site which provides vouchers is Groupon, and I have heard they are the fasting growing company EVER!

Some people consider it a bit complicated how voucher sites work, but basically they make their money as an affiliate for other marketing programes.  So when you click on the link and buy something using your voucher, the voucher site earns a small percentage of what you spend.

In some cases, companies offer you free coupons in order to obtain your email or address, telephone number.  The promoting (or end company) realize the value of your name, and will be willing to be someone to introduce you to them, and also to offer you an incentive to do it, in this case the voucher.

Groupon is slightly different in that it charges the businesses on its website up to 50% of the face value of each Groupon it manages to sell.

We looked at the top three most popular voucher sites, and ones that you can regularly use to eat out in a busy restaurant.

GROUPON
Groupon works with mass buying power. Effectively there are a number of deals which change on a regular basis. You click to buy the deal and give your card details.
If enough people buy the money is then taken from everyone’s accounts and you receive a voucher for the deal. They call the voucher a Groupon.
Their site is pretty easy to work out. All you do is pick the city nearest to you, or where you are planning to be and the offer details are there to be seen.
I have always found more beauty and health club deals than restaurants, but nevertheless, I have seen a few local Maidenhead offers, so it’s worth keeping an eye open.

VOUCHER CODES
This will come up ranked high in Google when you search for restaurant voucher codes, (consider also searching for gift certificates as well) so is obviously worth a mention.
The site is clean and easy to find your way around.
They have a tab especially for restaurants and everything is very straight forward. You can get a printed voucher or for your Iphone.
I can search by typing in the name of a restaurant, which I really like.
Around the site, the deals are coded by different colours, this is a nice touch, but not essential in my opinion.
You can also sign up for the newsletter, which will get you all sorts of savings.

MY VOUCHER CODES
This one of the country’s largest and most successful sites for restaurant coupons and vouchers.
The home page is very busy, but there is a tab for restaurants, and once you click there, the layout is very similar to vouchercodes.co.uk.
I can do all ranges of searches, including clicking the ‘local’ button at the foot of the site. Now I can input my postcode and that will narrow my search down to local restaurants and obviously is becoming more geared to the local restaurants customer, which is nice.

In this section of restaurant Maidenhead, we are going to look at some information about using vouchers in restaurants, coupons and gift certificates.

Restaurant Money Off VoucherRestaurant coupons can be a great way to economize when you decide you’d rather dine out as compared to cook in your own home. Even somebody that seriously likes planning fantastic meals at home has times whenever they would prefer to have somebody different cook on their behalf. It doesn’t matter how you choose to eat out, you can always locate a couple of restaurant discount codes that can help save a little money.

The coupons websites for restaurants we discovered do the best task of locating and posting as many coupons as possible. They actually do a great job of delivering information on how you can obtain the restaurant coupons you are interested in, if they are not able to deliver them to you directly. So they provide you with coupons, but they also supply additional money saving techniques about how you’ll save cash eating dinner out, specifically in the restaurants which you visit fairly often.

Many restaurants of late tend to be discovering the effectiveness of people using the web in trying times. People are thinking about their spending habits, and reducing what they spend on entertainment. Due to this fact restaurant managers as well as marketing departments have latched on to this and have began getting imaginative in promoting their establishments.

If the restaurant that you are searching for coupons with, offers any sort of loyalty program then discovering the right internet site which has detailed information about what coupons you will get if you join, means that doing it this way, you won’t have to give out your personal information before you know what you’re getting in to. An added bonus is that when you sign up for a restaurant’s loyalty program you can be pretty sure that you’ll receive some sort of coupon when your birthday comes around. However, it’s the coupons that you receive in the rest of the year which will keep you coming back to your preferred restaurant time and again.

Listed below are 5 techniques to locate restaurant vouchers-

Go to the website of the restaurant in question and see what they have to offer.

Visit the restaurant’s web site during the last week of the month and then the first week of the month that follows. So you’ll look at visiting around about the 21st of the month until say the 4th. It has been shown that during these two weeks there are more coupons available.

Make sure you check the main voucher web sites. Sometimes they trail through various restaurant web pages to locate all of the vouchers and discounts available, it can save you a hell of a lot of time. Also check out Moneysaving Expert, this is a great site with all sorts of tips.

The school holidays are always a good time to get special offers.

Just ask. If you can’t get an offer or discount online, then why don’t you give them a phone call or email and inquire. Some won’t tell you their offers online, and some don’t even have a website! Often they may have in house offers which you wouldn’t know about until you called.

Also there is another way you could save some money. Often restaurants will have loyalty cards or even gift cards. (Also some are linked with a restaurant booking service, but that is another discussion). If you can manage to purchase one of these, you’ll find you wont have to pay the face value. Check it out on eBay. So for example, if the true face value was say, £30 and you manage to pay only £12 for it, well already you’ve gained yourself £18! If you can combine this with an additional voucher, well you could be making some fantastic savings!

This is a documentary that is all about how people are saving money. Even though we are concentrating on restaurants in Maidenhead, this is really an entertaining look at people’s attitude to using money saving techniques.

With my recent posts about restaurant vouchers, and discount codes it seemed something that might be worth sharing:

The Ultimate Guide To Penny Pinching

Of course I am not suggesting that using vouchers when you go to dine out is in any way penny pinching, but it is an interesting take on the way our lives have changed. In the UK we are still somewhat embarrassed about using any vouchers to pay for all or part of a meal, or anything. In the US it is a totally different thing. There is much kudos to being able to be smart enough to use a voucher or two to pay.

The video above is a Cutting Edge documentary shown on Channel 4 at the beginning of December 2011.
